Most Pakistani students meet the English requirement through a test, but there’s a crucial detail: for the visa, you usually need IELTS for UKVI (Academic), not the standard IELTS Academic. They look similar but are booked differently, so double check before you pay.
Every applicant from Pakistan must provide a TB test certificate from a UKVI approved clinic (there are approved centres in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad). The certificate is valid for 6 months, so time it right. Without it, your application will be rejected.
If you’re applying for certain postgraduate courses in sensitive subjects (like some physics, chemistry, and engineering fields), you may need an ATAS certificate. Your CAS will state if it’s required. It’s free but can take several weeks, so apply early to avoid delays.
