What happens after you graduate
Russia has no dedicated post study work visa, but graduates of Russian universities have simpler routes to a work permit with an employer. Most Pakistani graduates return home, move to the Gulf, or continue to a PhD. Medicine graduates must pass the licensing exam in Pakistan to practise.

Degrees from accredited Russian universities are recognised by HEC. For medicine, choose only universities recognised in Pakistan, and graduates must pass the licensing exam before practising. We check recognition before you apply.
Can I study in Russia in English?
Yes, for medicine and a growing number of master’s programmes. Most bachelor’s programmes are taught in Russian, which needs a preparatory language year first.
What is the government quota scholarship?
Russia offers free tuition places to international students each year. You apply through the official Russian education portal, usually in the autumn and winter before a September start.
How much does it cost to study in Russia?
Tuition is typically $2,000 to $8,000 a year, and living costs are about $250 to $450 a month. We confirm current figures at your assessment.
How will I pay fees and living costs?
International cards and many bank transfers do not work in Russia. Universities and banks have approved ways to pay, and we plan them with your family before you apply.
How long does the Russian student visa take?
Your university first requests an official invitation, which usually takes four to eight weeks. The visa follows once the invitation is issued. Apply well before your intake.
Is halal food available in Russia?
Yes, especially in Kazan, home to a large Tatar Muslim community, and in Moscow, which has many halal restaurants and mosques.
Can I work while studying in Russia?
Full time students at accredited universities can work in their free time under simplified rules. Plan your budget without depending on work income.
